Halloween in Spain 2026: where to go with and without the kids, from Valencia to Granada

Halloween in Spain falls on Saturday 31 October in 2026, with All Saints' Day the day after. We checked the listings from Valencia to Granada with the organisers: which events suit children, which parties are over-18s only, what tickets cost and how to get home at night.

We checked the dates, prices and times below on 21 October 2026 on the organisers' and town halls' websites and in the Enterticket ticket shop. The cheapest party tickets sell first, so a "from" price may go up by the weekend. Where an event has not been announced for 2026 yet, we say so.

Does Spain celebrate Halloween?

It does, though to Spaniards it is a borrowed American holiday. Their own festival at this time of year is 1 November, Día de Todos los Santos, All Saints' Day, when families take flowers to the cemetery. There is more on that below, in the section on 1 November.

It is children and young people who celebrate Halloween. Little ones wear costumes to parties at school and at after-school club, teenagers and adults go out to parties, and from early October the theme parks are covered in pumpkins and cobwebs. The name stays the same, Halloween, just said the Spanish way, something like "ja-lo-WEEN". Children who go door to door say "¿Truco o trato?", the Spanish for trick or treat.

Trick-or-treating is not the custom everywhere here. In an urbanización, a residential complex with a shared courtyard, post in the residents' group chat to ask who is expecting children, and only call on the people who reply. In an ordinary block of flats in a town centre, don't knock on strangers' doors without that kind of arrangement.

Halloween in Valencia 2026 with kids

Halloween escape rooms at Fobia Escape

From 28 October to 1 November the Fobia escape rooms on Plaza del Portal Nuevo, in the old town, switch to Halloween storylines. Three games get live actors. La Locura del Alquimista is for ages 14 and up, Expediente Miller and the darkest of them, El Destripador de Arkansas, for ages 16 and up, and teenagers play only with an adult. These three games cost €10 extra per team, and discounts don't apply on these days. For families with children there is Gulliver y los Gigantes in its "Halloween sin terror" (no scares) version: the usual game with no actors, a decorated room, costumes welcome and a small surprise at the end. Games run in Spanish, English and Russian. Places are limited, and you book on fobiaescape.com.

Iluziona museum of illusions

Until 2 November the optical illusion rooms at Calle de Castelló, 20 are dressed up for Halloween, and there is a virtual reality headset with a horror story. For small children some rooms are kept free of the Halloween theme, and the first visitors get a treat, "truco o trato" style. On weekdays tickets cost €10 for adults and €8 for children aged 4–17, at weekends €12 and €10. Under-threes go free, and virtual reality costs €2–3 extra.

Pumpkin festival at Russafa market

On Saturday 31 October, from 11:00 to 14:00, Russafa market fills up with pumpkins. Children get games and workshops on how to cook pumpkin and how to decorate the house with it. Entry is free.

Valencian monsters at L'ETNO

Valencia's ethnology museum is running its "Per Tots Sants, monstres valencians" campaign for the tenth year, introducing children to the monsters of Valencian folk tales. On 1 November at 11:00 there is a family concert by Dani Miquel, "Gran festa 'De por'". Tickets for the family shows and the concert are handed out from the Tuesday of the same week at the information desk of the Centre Museístic La Beneficència, Carrer Corona, 36.

Arena shopping centre

From 23 October to 1 November the Arena shopping centre at Carrer de Santa Genoveva Torres, 21 runs craft workshops (ghosts, skeletons, pumpkins) and face painting. They are open to Club Xperience members only. Membership is free, and you sign up on the centre's website. On 31 October there is a marathon of scary stories for children aged 5–9. You need to register, and on 21 October registration had not opened yet.

STAR drive-in cinema

The drive-in at Carrera del Riu, 407 has two Halloween evenings with three films back to back, starting at 20:00. On 30 October it shows "Goosebumps", "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" and "Ghostbusters", a good night for school-age children. On 31 October it opens with a zombie walk around the car park, followed by "Corpse Bride", "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" and "It". Stephen King's "It" frightens grown-ups too, so leave the little ones at home that night. Entry is €5 per car plus €6 (30 October) or €8 (31 October) per person.

Halloween for adults in and around Valencia

elrow Horroween in Sagunto

The electronic music festival runs on 31 October from 14:00 to 2:00 at the Recinto Internúcleos, between Sagunto and Puerto de Sagunto, about 30 km from Valencia. According to the town hall, the site holds more than 25,000 people. There are three stages, and the DJs include Paco Osuna, The Martinez Brothers, Nic Fanciulli, Ben Sims, Blawan and Andrés Campo. Entry is strictly over-18s with an original ID document, last entry is at 1:00, and there is no re-entry. Prices on 21 October: Early Access (entry before 17:00) €48, general admission €58, VIP €135, all including the booking fee. Tickets are sold only on Enterticket.

Plan the journey home before you go. The last Cercanías C6 train from Sagunto to Valencia leaves at 22:58, and the next one is not until 7:03 in the morning. Take the festival shuttle instead. Buses leave for the festival from 13:00 to 18:00 from Av. dels Tarongers by the Polytechnic University and come back from 1:30 to 4:00. It costs €5 return, and the ticket is also on Enterticket. There are no special rules on costumes, but weapons, even fake ones, and spray paint cans are not allowed in.

Concert at La PlaZeta

On Friday 30 October at 22:00, La PlaZeta theatre (Av. del Primat Reig, 8) hosts Halloween in Concert by Antonio Morant and Paco Sanchis. The programme goes from "Thriller", "The Addams Family" and "Harry Potter" to Bach, Saint-Saëns, Grieg and "Highway to Hell". Tickets from €16 including the booking fee, no age limit. On 31 October and 1 November the same theatre shows "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" with live dancers in front of the screen, tickets from €11.

Dinner and cabaret at the casino

On 31 October Casino Cirsa Valencia (Av. de les Corts Valencianes, 59) puts on a Halloween edition of The Golfus Cabaret: dinner and cabaret from 21:00 to 00:30, over-18s only. On 21 October only the last price band was left, €64.95, as the early-bird prices had sold out. Parking is included.

Halloween Canalla in Cullera

For those who live south of Valencia: on the night of 31 October into 1 November, the Canalla club in Cullera (Carrer del 25 d'Abril, 43) opens at 23:30 and stays open until 7:00. Over-18s only, €12 in advance with a drink.

Halloween in Benidorm: Terra Mítica, Mundomar and Terra Natura

Terra Mítica

Halloween at the park runs from 3 October to 1 November, but the park is not open every day. The dates left are 24, 25 and 31 October and 1 November. During the day there are Halloween shows in the Greek, Roman and Egyptian areas, and little ones have their own walk-through with the park's characters, "El Misterio de la Piedra de los Deseos". The big day is 31 October. The park is open from 11:00 to 1:00, six scare mazes run from noon to midnight, recommended for ages 12 and up, and a DJ plays from 23:00.

Tickets are cheaper online than at the gate. On 31 October an adult ticket costs €43 and a child's (ages 4–12) €37. On 24 and 25 October it is €37 and €32, on 1 November €36 and €31. Under-threes go free, and an afternoon ticket with entry after 15:00 is €7–8 cheaper. On Sundays in October the park sells adult tickets 2 for 1 with the code MEDUSATM under the Promociones tab. Of the dates still to come, that means 25 October. Parking is €10.

Horror Nights, the evening horror mazes from 21:00 to midnight, are sold separately. The October dates have sold out, 1 November is left, and tickets start at €43. Under-14s are not admitted, 14- and 15-year-olds only come in with a paying adult, and guests in costume, face paint or masks are not allowed into this event.

Mundomar

Until 1 November the marine park next door is having a pirate Halloween: a new walk-through, "El Barco Encantado", face painting and workshops, and short scenes before the dolphin and sea lion shows. It is open from 10:00 to 18:00 and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Adult tickets online cost €26–27, children's €21–22.

Terra Natura Benidorm

The zoo holds Halloween from 24 October to 1 November and teaches children about snakes, spiders, bats and owls. On Saturday 24 October there is Holiween, a festival of colour. At dusk visitors are showered with fluorescent paint that glows under ultraviolet light, and the zoo has more than 600 kg of it ready. Prices are not given in the announcement.

If you can't bear to put the costume away until next year, Benidorm holds its Fancy Dress Party in the town's streets on 12 November, and the town hall expects more than 30,000 people. For how Benidorm sees in the New Year, read our guide Benidorm New Year's Eve and Christmas 2026–2027.

Halloween in Alicante and Elche

Alicante

The city council is running Halloween together with local shopkeepers. On Friday 30 October, from 17:00 to 20:00, the party is in Plaza Joaquín María López, and on Saturday 31 October, from 10:00 to 14:00, in Parque Historiador Vicente Ramos. The council promises spooky workshops, fairground rides, virtual reality, games and entertainers, and entry is free. Poeta Quintana, La Florida and Ciudad de Asís will have their own parties, but the council has not published the times yet. Online round-ups still list last year's venues, San Blas and Navarro Rodrigo. They are not on the 2026 list.

For children aged three and up, on 30 October at 18:30 the Centro Social Comunitario Playas (Calle Costa Blanca, 19) hosts a free concert with stories, "¡Bu! para reírse de los miedos", about laughing at your fears. Invitations are given out online at agendacultural.org, up to four per email address. On 30 and 31 October, from 18:00 to 21:00, there is Halloween face painting at the Plaza Mar 2 shopping centre.

If your child would rather go to a workshop than join a crowd, the SunClub catalogue lists two children's centres in Alicante: ArtLand in the Bulevar Plaza shopping centre and DreamLab. Links to their pages are at the bottom of the page. Plans for December are in our guide Christmas in Alicante 2026–2027.

Elche

From 23 October to 8 November the city hosts the XXXI Festival Medieval d'Elx. There is no Halloween in it, but the Misteri d'Elx falls on these dates. UNESCO recognised this medieval mystery play as a masterpiece 25 years ago. It is sung in the Basílica de Santa María, and a golden pomegranate with an angel inside is lowered from under the dome. The full performances are on 30 October at 21:30 and 31 October at 20:30, with tickets from €10 to €60 at the Casa de la Festa box office and at El Corte Inglés. The festival website says entry is free on all three days, but the Patronat, the body that runs the Misteri, is selling tickets for 30 and 31 October. On 1 November you can watch both parts, La Vespra at 10:00 and La Festa at 17:00, for free and without booking, while places last.

For children, on 31 October at 18:00 the La Tramoia hall stages a family show, "Rucs. El maleficio del brujo" ("Donkeys. The Sorcerer's Curse"), tickets €5. The medieval market with around a hundred stalls opens later, from 5 to 8 November, 10:00 to 23:00, in Plaza de Baix.

Halloween in Murcia and Cartagena

Terra Natura Murcia

The zoo in Espinardo, in the north of Murcia, holds Halloween on 24, 25 and 31 October and 1 November from 11:00 to 16:00, with games, face painting, crafts, temporary tattoos and dancing. All of it is included in the standard ticket, €19 for adults and €15 for children aged 3–12. On 30 and 31 October, from 20:00 to midnight, the zoo opens for Halloween Night, with a route through the African area and a tunnel of terror. Tickets are €10, and no more than 500 people are let in. On 31 October at 21:00 there is a dinner with a mystery game, "El Misterio de Transilvania", with eight actors: €65 for adults, €35 for children, booking only, 90 places.

Cartagena

At the Castillo de la Concepción, "El Castillo Embrujado" ("The Haunted Castle") is staged for the last time on 31 October at 22:00. This year there is only the adult version, for ages 16 and up, and tickets cost €20. For families the same evening there are cheap horror walk-throughs. The one at the Centro Cívico de La Palma runs from 19:00 to 22:00 and costs €5. The scouts run another in Parque Polígono de Santa Ana from 18:00 to 21:00, €3 for children aged 6–16. The city's youth centre runs free Halloween workshops for ages 14–35 on 30 October, but on 21 October three of the four were already full. Booking is open until 29 October on juventud.cartagena.es.

If you want to make a two-day trip of Murcia, there are thermal baths half an hour from the city. We wrote about them in our guide to the Archena spa.

Halloween in Granada: two all-night festivals outside the city

Granada is about 480 km from Valencia: five and a half hours by car, at least 7 hours 44 minutes on an ALSA coach, and there is no direct train. That is a long way for one night, but if you were going to spend the weekend in Andalusia anyway, here is what has been confirmed there.

The Alhambra lit up at night above a dark hillside in Granada

Both parties are at Complejo Embrujo. It is a large club complex in Las Gabias, about 20 km from the centre of Granada, on the A-338 towards La Malahá. Enterticket gives the address simply as "Granada", so tell the taxi driver Las Gabias. Parking on site is free, and the organiser runs buses from the city for €6.60 return.

24 October, Halloween Night Festival

It starts at 23:59 and goes on "until dawn". The organiser gives no exact closing time. Over-18s only. The music is Latin, pop and old hits, and the organiser promises thick smoke, red lights and characters who come out right among the dancers. On 21 October tickets start at €17.60 (€16 plus a 10% fee), and the cheapest ones have sold out. Overnight into 25 October the clocks in Spain go back an hour, so the night is longer. The night before, on 23 October, the same party runs for over-16s, and 16- and 17-year-olds need written permission from a parent.

31 October, DOMO Halloween

It runs from 21:00 to 7:00 in the morning, with three techno stages including hardcore. Rebekah, Freddy K and Mad Dog are among the artists. Strictly over-18s. Tickets are issued in your name, and at the door you have to show your original DNI (Spanish ID card) or passport. A photo of the document won't do. Tickets start at €30.80 (€28 plus the fee), and the early prices have sold out. The bus from the Neptuno shopping centre in Granada costs €6.60 return, with buses back from 4:00.

If you go for the whole weekend, the Alhambra's night visits run on the usual autumn timetable. On Fridays and Saturdays the Nasrid Palaces are open from 20:00 to 21:30, and a ticket costs €12.73. Alhambra tickets sell out well in advance, so buy yours on the Alhambra website before you travel.

A week later, on 7 November, the mountain village of Soportújar near Granada holds its Night of the Witches, with Baba Yaga's hut and a costume parade. We went with our children, and our guide to Soportújar, Spain's witch village tells the story.

What we left out

We found mistakes in online round-ups of Halloween 2026, including on big ticketing sites, so we left a few events out. Round-ups put DADDY THE PARTY in Murcia, but it actually takes place in Torremolinos, near Málaga. The sales page for Tardeo Remember Halloween in Valencia has been taken down, and the organiser's website is closed for maintenance. The dates get mixed up too: Halloween in Concert is on Friday 30 October, and Terra Mítica started its Halloween on 3 October. If you see a Halloween parade on the Rambla in Alicante on social media, check the city council's website. None has been announced for 2026.

1 November: All Saints' Day in Valencia

Día de Todos los Santos, Tots Sants in Valencian, is a national holiday across Spain. In 2026 it falls on a Sunday. Nine regions, including Madrid and Andalusia, have moved the day off to Monday 2 November. The Valencian Community has not: 2 November is a normal working day here, and under the general school calendar children go to school. A town council can give its schools a local day off. Montanejos, for example, chose 2 November, so check with your school.

On this day Spaniards take flowers to the cemetery. From 18 October to 2 November Valencia's municipal cemeteries are open from 9:00 to 18:00, with longer hours because of the crowds.

At home people eat sweets from the local bakeries, the hornos. For Tots Sants they sell huesos de santo, "saint's bones" made of marzipan with a candied egg yolk filling. There are also buñuelos, small fritters filled with cream or pumpkin, and panellets, little balls of ground almond with pine nuts. An old Valencian custom was to light a candle for the dead at midnight on the Nit de les Ànimes, the "night of souls" before 1 November.
